Based out of Los Angeles, DGS works with theme bars, pop-ups, fan conventions, and special events to produce imaginative themed installations and photo ops. The designers at DGS hail from the world of the film & television art department, and are perfectly poised to realize your nerd party dreams with stunning detail and imaginative flair.
The transformation was beyond our wildest hopes for the bar. You guys are true professionals, but also the nicest and easiest people to work with. It's clear from spending the week with you that not only do you have great vision and terrific work ethic, but that you poured your heart into the project. I anticipate this is only the start of many future endeavors.
Damn Good Shindig are incredibly professional and fantastic to work with! Nerds Like Us has brought them in for multiple events, including Marvel legend Stan Lee's birthday, and they've always set the bar high with creating fantastic themed environments. They always hit the mark behind the scenes as well: hitting deadlines, adding layers of detail and nuance, and are super organized. From celebrity parties, to nightclubs and bars, there's nothing these super-powered ladies can't accomplish in the realm of immersive experiences!
A Huge shout out and thank you to the ladies of Damn Good Shindig for making my parents' backyard into mini Middle Earth! My bridal shower was amazing and beautiful and it wouldn't be this way without you ladies putting hard work and sweating your butts off in the heat to get it done. Seriously from the bottom of my heart, love everything you put together that day. There are no words when I got to see people's faces as they looked at all the decor. And they made these by hand!!!!! If you are looking for a nerdy or geeky theme for a party but don't know where to start or how to do it. Contact these ladies right now!!! They will help you make your nerdy/geeky dreams come true.
I was absolutely blown away by the planning, the effort, and the passion that the DGS team put into making this event TRULY special. When I heard that you specialized in ALL types of geeky parties, I was thrilled because it meant I may get to see more of your shindigs in the coming year.
Ellie is a Midwestern adventure seeker, avid reader, and all around dino-lover whose heart is three times as big as a T. rex’s arms are small. Growing up, she was always dreaming up different adventures and stories. From inventing alien invasion games to performing in a two-woman show about Batman and Robin (Ellie retains that George Clooney is still the best Batman), nothing was out of her inventive reach. Ellie has carried her imagination with her into adulthood and has used it as a vital part of her living. Ellie has worked in the art department of film and television for the past nine years, fabricating fantastic worlds and intricate sets to her heart’s content. As a child, Ellie would wait until Halloween in order to have a spooky birthday party, even though her birthday is in September. Her love of theme parties has only grown with time. Ellie believes you can manifest anything from your dreams with a little bit of creativity, and that her dog, Agent Doggett, is the cutest pup that has ever lived.

Haley is a graphic & film designer, lover of stories and the stage, and the owner of a 5-time champion Unicorn. Her love affair with design began at 10, as she filled her sketch books with the shops of Diagon Alley and the wizards who inhabited them. As a grown up, she has production designed/art directed a fun assortment of projects including the indie romance darling "Already Tomorrow in Hong Kong," and viral video "Sexy Wookiee Hotline" (don't ask, just Google it... but maybe not at work). As a film graphic designer, she has designed film and tv projects such as "Runaways" season 2, "Love, Simon," "Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul," "Keanu," the pilot of "Constantine", and created the entire brand of Cloud 9 for "Superstore" on NBC. Her obsession with immersive theme parties began in college when she transformed the dorm's common room into a psychadellic Wonderland, complete with a rabbit hole made out of tie-dyed bedsheets, that you had to worm your way through to get to the band playing on the other side. Haley likes to think her specialty is creating beauty from chaos, and is known for her crafty solutions for lofty challenges.
